From New Jersey Turnpike (North or South)  

• Turn off at Exit 9, bear right after the tollbooths and follow signs for "Route 18 North - New Brunswick." Stay to the left to continue on Route 18 North.

For the College Avenue campus

• Proceed along Route 18 North past the two exits for Route 27 and take the exit marked "George Street-Rutgers University" (approximately 2.6 miles from the Turnpike). NOTE: DO NOT take the first George Street exit which is immediately after Paulus Blvd.
• At the top of the exit ramp, a right onto George Street will put you in the direction of Records Hall and Alexander Library. A left onto George Street will put you in the direction of Old Queen's, Zimmerli Art Museum and downtown New Brunswick.

For the Cook and Douglass campuses

• Proceed along Route 18 North. After the first traffic light, take the first exit marked "George St." which is immediately after Paulus Blvd. The exit ramp leads you directly onto George Street in the vicinity of the Rutgers Arts Center and Hickman Hall on the Douglass campus. For the Cook campus, continue on George Street and turn left at the second traffic light onto Nichol Avenue. Follow signs to the campus.

For the Busch/Livingston campuses

• Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North.
• For the Busch campus - take the first exit for Campus Road.
• For the Livingston campus - take the second exit marked "Metlars Lane, Livingston Campus, Rutgers RAC." Make a right onto Avenue E before the light.

From Garden State Parkway (North or South)  

Southbound (from northern points)

• Turn off at Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head south.
• Turn off the Turnpike at Exit 9, bear right after the tollbooths and follow signs for "Route 18 North - New Brunswick." Stay to the left to continue on Route 18 North.
• For specific campuses, follow the directions from Route 18 North, below.

Northbound (from southern points)

• Turn off at Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North.
• After approximately 24 miles, you will pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike. Continue on Route 18 North.
• For specific campuses, follow the directions from Route 18 North, below.

For the College Avenue campus

• From Route 1 Southbound, proceed past the turn for Route 18 to College Farm Road. Turn right onto College Farm Road and follow signs for the campuses.
• From Route 1 Northbound, proceed to the "Squibb Dr./College Farm Rd." exit and follow signs for the campuses.

For the Busch/Livingston campuses

• Turn off Route 1 at exit marked "Route 18 North-New Brunswick." Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North.
• For the Busch campus - take the first exit for Campus Road.
• For the Livingston campus - take the second exit marked "Metlars Lane, Livingston Campus, Rutgers RAC." Make a right onto Avenue E before the light.
  

  From Route 287 (North or South)  

• Turn off at Exit 9 "River Road, Bound Brook, Highland Park. "
• Proceed East on River Road toward Highland Park. For specific campuses follow the directions below.
  

For the College Avenue campus

• Make a right onto Route 18 South (exit after the traffic light at Landing Lane). Cross the Raritan River on the John Lynch Memorial Bridge.
• Stay in the right lane and take the first exit which is marked "George Street - Rutgers University, New Brunswick, Route 27."
• At the traffic light at the top of the exit ramp proceed straight onto George Street toward Old Queen's, Zimmerli Art Museum and downtown New Brunswick or turn right onto Huntington Street, then turn left at the first traffic light onto College Avenue for the Rutgers Student Center and Scott Hall.

For the Cook/Douglass campuses

• Make a right onto Route 18 South (exit after the traffic light at Landing Lane). Cross the Raritan River on the John Lynch Memorial Bridge. Continue on Route 18 South.
• At the first traffic light make a right onto Commercial Avenue.
• Proceed to the first traffic light and make a left onto George Street. You will enter Douglass Campus in the vicinity of the Douglass College Center and the Rutgers Arts Center.
• For Cook College proceed on George Street to the first traffic light and make a right onto Nichol Avenue. Follow signs onto Cook campus.

For the Busch/Livingston campuses

• Continue on River Road and you will pass under the overpass for Route 18. Make the next left onto Route 18 North.
• For the Busch campus - take the first exit for Campus Road.
• For the Livingston campus - take the second exit marked "Metlars Lane, Livingston Campus, Rutgers RAC." Make a right onto Avenue E before the light.
